Mis robots al gimnasio

¡Estoy en la recta final de la revisión de "Robots con Alma: atrapados entre la verdad y la libertad"! Es la tercera revisión en un par de meses. Por lo general, en cada una se busca eliminar un 10 por ciento de palabras, en especial modificadores como adjetivos y adverbios. Pero, últimamente, y con el valioso aporte de lectores beta, sentí que el manuscrito seguía "obeso". Entonces, decidí meterlo en el gimnasio con la idea de hacerlo más atlético.

Ahora, casi al terminar esta etapa, me siento satisfecho. Las escenas son más ágiles y la trama más dinámica. Sin embargo, cuidé que la historia y los personajes, como los androides Veritas y Libertas, no perdieran su esencia ni sus objetivos.

Creo que me estoy aproximando al final de este proceso. Y como si mis personajes conspiraran, mientras contaba todo esto, me llamó el presidente del Diario las Américas para ofrecerme su apoyo para comenzar con la promoción. ¿Cuándo publicaré? Si los planetas siguen alineados, será este junio. En los próximos días les compartiré algunas escenas.

 

My Robots at the Gym

I'm in the home stretch of revising "Robots with a Soul: Trapped Between Truth and Freedom"! It is the third revision in a couple of months. Usually, in each one, the goal is to cut 10 percent of words, especially unnecessary modifiers like adjectives and adverbs. Lately, however, with the valuable input from beta readers, I have felt that the manuscript is still "obese." So, I decided to put it in the gym to make it more athletic.

Now, almost at the end of this stage, I feel more satisfied. The scenes are more agile, and the plot is more dynamic. However, I ensured that neither the story nor the characters lost their essence or objectives, like the androids Veritas and Libertas.

I believe I am nearing the end of this process. And as if my characters were conspiring, while I was telling all this, the president of Diario las Américas called me to offer his support to start the promotion. When will I publish? If the planets remain aligned, it will be this June. In the coming days, I will share some scenes.
